INDEPENDENCE, MO. (April 14, 2025) - The NHRA West Central Division is thrilled to announce an exciting new partnership with Speedy Car Wash as the Low Qualifier sponsor in the Fineline/Madcap Top Dragster category during the 2025 Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series.
As part of the newly launched Speedy Car Wash Low Qualifier Award, the #1 qualifier in Top Dragster at each Division 5 Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series event will receive a $205 bonus. In addition to event-by-event awards, a season-long points program will also track qualifying performance across the first five races.
Following the weekend at Brainerd International Raceway’s Doubleheader in August, the top four points earners will be invited to compete in the inaugural Speedy Car Wash Shootout, held during the season finale at Tri-State Raceway in Earlville, Iowa, on Friday, September 5, 2025. The Shootout champion will receive a $1,200 cash prize, an NHRA Wally trophy, and a Champion’s Jacket.
Speedy Car Wash, a family-owned express exterior car wash located in Lenexa, Kansas, has served their community for over 15 years. With two Lenexa locations, their mission is to provide an exceptionally fast, friendly, clean, and shiny experience to every customer at a great value.
“The West Central Division is home to some of the fastest Top Dragsters in the country,” said Prescott Dean. “This is a great opportunity to entice more people from outside of our Division to compete for extra money each race, while also hopefully keeping them coming back all season long for a chance to qualify for the Speedy Shootout. I am actively looking for additional partners to add to the Shootout purse to raise the stakes even further.”
Nick Duty, NHRA West Central Division Director, added, “The competition for the top qualifying spot in Fineline/Madcap Top Dragster is always intense, and I'm excited to see this new program take it to the next level. The future of the Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series is bright for Division 5, and this is another great step to build on the momentum we've created over the past few years.”
The NHRA West Central Division will host six Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series events in 2025:
- World Wide Technology Raceway (Madison, IL) – April 29–May 3 (Doubleheader)
- Tri-State Raceway (Earlville, IA) – May 30–June 1
- Brainerd International Raceway (Brainerd, MN) – August 14–17 (Doubleheader)
- Tri-State Raceway (Earlville, IA) – September 5–7 (Season Finale)
